St Therese of Liseaux PS

Boys and girls from the Antrim Road journeyed to the pastoral centre on bright spring days. They put a lot of thought into all their work and imagination into their foci.
Wednesday 10th April
Focus
We made kites and made a picture of a sunny day, because a sunny day is fun and our retreat was fun.
Music
We chose 'Let It Be' by the Beatles because Mother Mary is telling us to 'let it be'. If you're in a fight just let it be and walk away.
We chose 'Next To Me' by Emile Sande because it is a hymn that was written about God always being with you.
Scripture
Matthew (5:14-16), we think that this story means that we shouldn't be hiding away from the world, we should be showing the world what we are made of.
 Prayers
Dear God
We pray for all of the dead.
Amen

Dear God
We pray for peace in all of the countries.
Amen

Dear God
We pray for all who are poor in the world.
Amen
 Dear God
We pray for all those who are sick in hospital
and for their families and friends
who might be worrying at this time.
Amen

Dear God
Thank you for medicine to help the sick.
Amen
Reflection
The reason we chose the title 'God's Working Hands' is because we are working for God.

Wednesday 17th April

Focus
The blue cloth and the scattered candles represents a peaceful night sky. The white cloth represents a dove for peace. We then have a river with a coloured fish because a fish used to mean the same thing as the cross does today. The hills then stand for nature. Lastly the red stands for strength.
Music
For our first song we chose 'You've Got The Love', because it lets people know there is love in the world and God loves us, so we should love others.
Our second song is 'Let It Be', because it shows that God has planned our lives for us and we should just let it flow.
Scripture
Matthew (5:14-16) means you are the light, so don't keep it to yourself, let everyone see your light. Be yourself and shine your light so everyone can see.
Prayers

Reflection
We chose the title 'Workers for  our God' because we are using our hands to show our love for God.
