St Bernard's PS Glengormley

Pupils from St Bernard's PS joined on icy days in Holy Week, with one class having to postpone their retreat until after Easter because of the inclement weather. Nonetheless all classes enjoyed their trip to 'the west' and we enjoyed having them in the pastoral centre.
Tuesday 26th March

 Focus
We used a flame and a dove in our focus, symbols of the Holy Spirit.
Music
We chose 'One Love' by Bob Marley, because it is fun and joyful as we have been today. We also picked 'Stand By Me' by Ben E King, we felt this song was peaceful and showed us the strength of standing by people.

Prayers

Reflection
We chose the title 'Christ Be Our Light' because if we shine our light for others, Christ is our light.
Wednesday 27th March

Focus
We chose to use the symbol of the sun, the bright light shining in the sky with our kites flying.
Music
Our first song is 'You Got A Friend In Me' from Toy Story, because God is a friend and he stands by you. The second song is 'Next To Me' as God is next to all of us.
Prayers

Reflection
We picked the title 'The Workers' Hands' as we our now the hands God has on earth and its up to us to shine our light.
Friday 26th April
Focus
Our focus is a kite because it represents us and the wind represents the Holy Spirit, God breathing life into us.

Music
We chose 'Firework' because if you want to get noticed, shine your light and show yourself. Our other song was 'Man In The Mirror' because if you want to make a change you need to start with yourself.

 Prayers

Reflection
We chose the title 'The Hands Of God' because we will use our hands to help out and make God's world a better place.
