St John the Baptist PS pupils arrived wide awake to the Pastoral Centre having walked up from school. They were ready for games, discussion and meditation.
Monday 15th April
The setting sun represents the peacefulness of the meditation. The candles around the sun represent Jesus being a light for us. Our hands represent us bringing love to others, just as God wants us to.
Music
We chose 'Fireworks' because everyone has a light inside them and they need to let it shine. We also picked 'The Cloud's Veil', because when bad times come, God is always by your side.
PrayersWe picked the title 'Dream Team', because today is about teamwork. We chose to do our school colours with a scarf.
Tuesday 16th April
Focus
For our focus we chose a flame, because every time it burns, it lights up a room. It also lights up the flame in our hearts to give to others what Jesus gave to us like love, hope, kindness, happiness and much more . It is also the flame in the candles of joy, hope, peace and love.
Music
We picked 'Read All About It' as it means, don't let people make you sad because God created you so think good things about yourself. In 'True Colours' we are all the colours of the rainbow and the colours of the rainbow connect, like we do by being friends.
Prayers
Reflection
We picked 'Dream Team', because when God helps us. we help others by being kind and respectful, and if we do we can have a Dream World.
Wednesday 24th April
Focus
For focus we made a beach to represent the fun we had today. The wind is God's breath blowing our kites through the sky.
We chose 'Firework'....go for it. Shine and don't let anyone or anybody hold you back. Go and perform, don't let anybody judge you. In 'Read All About It' we think it means treat people the way you would want to be treated. Say what you want to say.
Prayers
Reflection
The 'Dream Team' is ........us! We are the dream team because if we did what was on our hands we would be living in a dream world. Everything would be perfect and nothing would compare. And all this is in our hands, we just have to use it.
