Bright February days brought  year 12 girls from north Belfast. The stunning sunshine belied chilly temperatures however, the girls got warmed up through games and discussion.

Focus
We chose the peace sign because even though we often fight among ourselves, we can still be friends. We are working towards being a peaceful and happy class.
 Music
We chose 'You've got the love', we should all love each other as a class. Nobody should feel isolated or left out. Everyone should respect everyone else's opinions. Our second song 'Man in the mirror', is about reflection on ourselves, everyone should change and be friends. We can change as a class and come together  as individuals to be better as a team.

Scripture
We chose Matthew (7:1-3) 'Do not judge others; and God will not judge you; Do not condemn others, and God will not condemn you: forgive others, and God will forgive you,' because it tells you to treat others how you would like to be treated and you will be given the same respect as others. It tells us that you can't just treat people how you want to and expect to be respected.

Prayers
                                                                       Dear Father,
I would like to thank you for giving me life.
Please help all of us to remember how precious life is
and how much it needs to be protected. Guide everybody,
particularly those in positions of power.
Help them to make wise decisions which protect the unborn.
Amen.

Dear Father,
I would like to thank you for the gift of a loving family,
protect all of my family, my mummy, Joanne and Kaeden.
Look after them always and help us always to support each other.
Amen

Dear Father
Give to others, and God will give to you:
you will receive a full measure, a generous helping ,
poured into your hands: all that you can hold .
This measure you use for others is the one God will use for you.
Amen

Dear Father,
I would like to pray for those who are sick,
either at home or in hospital ,
help them to remember that God is with them always
and help us to always do what we can to help them.
Amen

Reflection
For our reflection on the day, we wrote a rap:
"God city sista, God city sista,
God is our friend, our really good friend.
When we see the light it will be him on the end.
Standing with our brothers and our sisters too
All the friends we have ever met, old and new.
We were brought here today to talk about our faith,
Our opinions and religion, and as to God we can relate.

Some people believe and some just won't.
The stories will never change and God's opinion of you won't
We put our trust in him, and receive love back.
Eternal life and happiness though God's love won't lack.
The Holy Spirit keeps us safe and is always near.
To lead us on the right path during our journey here."

Yr 12C
Focus
We chose a flower because it represents how our form class has grown from first year to now. The colours show how everyone in our class is different but all come together as one big family. Just like the petals come together to make a flower.

Music
We chose Leona Lewis 'Footprints in the sand', because it is about finding your true self  and about God helping us. This song is a good song because today was all about finding ourselves and God.We also chose 'You've got a friend in me',as this song makes us all happy and puts us in a good mood, which is how we want everyone to feel after the prayer service.
Scripture
Matthew (7:1-3) 'Do not judge others; and God will not judge you; Do not condemn others, and God will not condemn you: forgive others, and God will forgive you,'
We chose this piece of scripture on judging others because in our society it happens a lot. We feel that this piece says that if you're nice to others they will be nice to you back.
Prayers

Reflection
In our reflection we thought about how God loves us and how he wants us to be happy. With God we are kinder nice people who can work together and enjoy life.

Thursday 28th February
Yr 12H
Focus
The chose to represent a cross for our focus. It shows that Jesus died for us and our spirals show how we think about the goodness of Jesus and will try to be like him.

Music
We picked 'One love', because its about one love and one heart. We all came together today and are one happy family.

Scripture
The reason we chose Luke (6:37-38) 'judging others', is because we are always judging others, before we even know them. Everyone does it and it isn't good. So, as a class we are going to try to be less judgemental.

Prayers

 Reflection
For our reflection we chose to think of words which we associated with our retreat day. Candles played an important part and helped with meditation. We found it a peaceful environment where we were able to relax.
