Edmund Rice Primary School

The boys from north Belfast joined us on a frosty December day. They quickly got down to work and warmed up at break and lunchtime with a game of football.
Focus
We chose the symbol of the candle as the whole day has been assembled around the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Music
'You've got the love', we chose this because its a great song and it includes God.
'You've got a friend in me' was chosen because everyone has got a friend.

Scripture
'Light' Matthew (5:14-16). Some boys did a little drama to explain the meaning of this scripture, demonstrating how light cannot be hidden as their light too will be seen in good works.

Prayers
Dear God
Thank you for my family
Thank you for my friends
Thank you for my neighbours
Bless all the poor and give them food.
Amen

Dear God
Help us to shine our light so bright in our world.

Reflection
We chose 'We are God's Hands' so that we will do the things God wants done.
