It was lovely to see the girls of Our Lady's primary school. We had such a wonderful retreat day talking about our Confirmation. We participated in a lot of fun activities, games, discussion, art and meditation, and had a great time listening to everyone on their ideas of confirmation.
Focus:
We made water because it is a symbol of Jesus being baptised, the candles symbolize fire which is a sign of the Holy Spirit, and the kites represent us, the wind guides the kites like God guides us.
Born This Way - Lady GaGa: We chose this song because we are all different, and we should be proud of who we are.
Hero: We picked this song because God is our hero and we should follow our heros.
Scripture:
You Are The Light of The World (Mt 5) - Because God gave all of us a light and it's up to us to each one of us to shine that light. We can do this by helping others.
Poster:
We chose Hands of God because we think it's suitbale for our picture, and we are the hands of God. We do God's work for him when we are kind, loving, gentle, caring, friendly and forgiving.
We made this because it represents Jesus. Jesus is the light of the world.
We made the cross because Jesus died on the cross and it reminds us of Jesus.
We made the kites because they represent us.
Our hands represent our class.
Miley Cyrus - The climb. No matter how hard life gets or how many goals we have to reach, we always have help from our friends and God.
Michael Jackson - Man in the mirror. We chose this song because we are making a change. We are looking at our reflections on the day of our confirmation.
You are the light of the world (Matt:5). This story told us that we all have a light inside of us that God gave us and we need to shine that light for everyone in the world.
