St. Patrick's, Bearnageeha - Year 10

We had a wonderful group of boys from St Partick's who were a pleasure to work with. We talked together about God and who we believe God to be. We also enjoyed our quiet meditation together, a time to relax, to think about the people who are important in our lives and how we can act in a more Christian way towards them. The boys then made spirals using the words they associate with God

For the Prayer Service the following were chosen:
Music - Man in The Mirror - we chose this because if you want to change the world you have to look at yourself and what you can do.

Don't Panic - we chose this song because if something bad happens don't panic, trust in God.

Scripture - The Good Samaritan

We are acting this out because it tells you that Jesus loves everyone and will forgive everyone who steps out of line when they seek forgiveness.

The used our jigsaws posters as part of our Focus to show we are all together.

Dear God
Please help the sick and the old and the people who look after them.
Amen

Dear God
Please bless all the people in poverty that have no homes.
Amen

The reason we wrote GOD using cloths and our spirals, is because we talked about Him today.

The reason we chose colours is to brighten up the room
We lit candles because Jesus is here

Reflections
J  is for joy
E is for exercise
S  is for the sun
U is for us
S  is for special

God is fun he created the sun
When we chill out God can hear us shout
God is calm as a lamb
He served the bread and rose from the dead

Jesus Christ is very nice
His words are nice yo yo!
He created Mexico (and the earth.)
We relax today and we say "Hey hey,
Jesus is ok!"

Thanks to the Year 10 boys the retreat team had a lovely day too. We enjoyed their humour and enthusiasm and hope to meet them all again in the future. In the meantime we ask God to bless them all.
