St. Patrick's College Yr 10

We really enjoyed having the boys this week, we had a brilliant day talking and getting along with one another. we discussed attitudes towards other people and attitudes towards ourselves.
Focus:
We have chosen the night sky, and its shiny moon because it puts peace and relaxation in to us. Each star relates to everyone in our school.
The chain shows that we are all linked together in some way and we all have needs.
We chose the jigsaw to show that our lives are pieced together by how we act.
 Music:
Where is the love - this song is about loving people and being loved, and that is the important thing in life.
The Climb - We chose this because everyone should try and touch the stars and be a hero.

 Scripture:
The Pharisee And The Tax Collector (Lk 18) - The reason why we chose this was because we should do things even when we don't want to.
Prayers:
Dear God,
I pray to God and ask him to pray for all the babies in the world.
Amen

Dear God,
We thank you for watching over me and my family. Praise be to God.
Amen

Dear God,
I pray to you and ask you to take of all the sick and the needy.
Amen

Dear God,
May you pray for the people who die,
and pray for the people who away from home and hope they are well.
Amen

St. Patrick's College Yr 11

We enjoyed seeing the young people of St.Patrick's again. It was great to hear how much they remembered and enjoyed their last retreat. This time we disscussed our values and beliefs around God, ourselves and our community. It was great to see the young men listening to each other's opinions. We had a really nice day and look forward to seeing them again.

Focus:
Fish - Represents God and nature
Candles - Represent love
Music:
Save the world: We picked this song becuase it is a song about cleaning up the world.

St Rose's Dominican College

We have facilitated two very enjoyable days with the girls of St Rose's Dominican College. These days were full of fun and lively conversation on how we treat people who are different from us and how we can try to be more like Jesus loving everyone, including people we don't like.
Focus
We made a sign to show peace and kindness to one another and try to be more Christian. The stars remind us that God created too earth.
Music
We decided to play Hero because when someone puts you down just get back up and hold your head high. Remember that we are all heroes.
We chose The Climb - don't give up on your dreams, we should always try them.

Scripture
We chose Jesus heals the two blind men because Jesus is communicating with others no matter what is wrong with them. Jesus is respecting them and helping them, so we should follow him.
Prayers
Dear God
We pray for all the families who have lost someone with cancer

St. James' Primary School

Today we enjoyed working with the young people from St James' Primary School. We talked together about making Confirmation and what difference it would make in our lives. We also enjoyed a quiet meditation and and a lively prayer service.
Focus:
We made  the alter because it reminds us of the church and the church is God's home. The candle is because the fire represents the Holy Spirit. Each hand has a promise on it and the promise is to help someone like a helping hand.
.
Music:
Where is the love - Respecting one another.
You've got a friend in me - Because you have a friend in God.
Scripture
You are the light of the world (Matt:5) The message from the passage is, when someone is down shine your light on them to make them feel better.
You can shine the light on somebody by being nice to them, caring and praying for them.
